Problemi hard disk err 71

Usate questo forum per richieste di aiuto e consigli sull'hardware montato nelle vostre macchine con GNU/Linux Slackware.

Regole del forum
1) Citare sempre la versione di Slackware usata e la versione del Kernel. Questi dati aiutano le persone che possono rispondere.
2) Citare il tipo di hardware coinvolto in modo dettagliato.
3) Leggere attentamente le risposte ricevute
4) Scrivere i messaggi con il colore di default, evitare altri colori.
5) Scrivere in Italiano o in Inglese, se possibile grammaticalmente corretto, evitate stili di scrittura poco chiari, quindi nessuna abbreviazione tipo telegramma o scrittura stile SMS o CHAT. Non usare termini gergali come procio, mobo e simili per identificare i componenti hardware.
6) Appena registrati è consigliato presentarsi nel forum dedicato.

La non osservanza delle regole porta a provvedimenti di vari tipo da parte dello staff, in particolare la non osservanza della regola 5 porta alla cancellazione del post e alla segnalazione dell'utente. In caso di recidività l'utente rischia il ban temporaneo.

Salve a tutti.... oggi il mio hdd esterno "WD 3200bevt" ha deciso di non funzionare più.... da dmesg riesco a veder questo

Mentre il device non mi compare propio neanche con win.
Tempo fà vidi una discussione dove si aveva un problema simile, ma non riesco a trovarla....
In pratica vorrei provare con dd... è possibile farlo se in /dev l'hd in questione non c'è?

Ciao,
grazie alla tua segnalazione ho appena recuperato una pennina USB da 16GB :D ... pensavo ad un problema hardware perché non leggibile da nessun S.O. (il guasto si era verificato su un PC windows) ... codice di errore però diverso dal tuo: "error -62"

in rete la soluzione suggerita anche per il tuo errore è:

nel mio caso la penna è miracolosamente rinata ... i dati sono leggibili, vediamo se rimane ok nel tempo ... intanto thanks all \:D/

La cosa è strana... L'hard disk funziona correttamente su un'altro box... Non so se conoscete gli hard disk LaCie (li scosiglio a tutti)...
Appena acquistati hanno all'interno un'utility che permette il partizionamento.. come ho aperto il programma da windows ero contento
avendo visto Linux.. finalmente i grossi produttori hw aggiungono qualcosa per gli utenti linux...
Ho pensato male :D..
Come il partizionamento è terminato quel box è diventato inutilizzabile ma l'hard disk funziona correttamente!
E non sono il solo, è successo anche al mio prof di info, stesso hard disk, stesso trattamento, stesso problema...
Almeno a lui l'hanno cambiato.. io avevo perso lo scontrino :( ..

Secondo voi è possibile che sia un progr danneggi un box?
Comunque quando potro proverò a modificare old_scheme_first..
