La mia Slack dopo qualche giorno di funzionamento riempie la memoria cached fino a consumare quasi tutta la memoria libera.

Dopo aver killato tutti i processi che consumano memoria,
facendo free -m:

total used free shared buffers cached

Swap: 941 0 941

come faccio a liberarla ?

Considerato che non lancio lo startx, quale processo posso killare per liberare altra memoria ?

questa è la normale politica di utilizzo della memoria in un sistema linux...se cerchi nel forum troverai spiegazioni più dettagliate

Linux riempe tutta la memoria ma la sa sfruttare non preoccuparti
Quand'è il momento si usarne un po' sa ben lui cosa fare
( non come altri sistemi operativi ! )

Ah, non c'è bisogno di aggiungere la voce MaxFileCache in siystem.ini?
