Ancora guai con alsa

Ho messo il kernel 2.6.15. Ora: se uso gli alsa-driver
ricompilati si questo kernel il messaggio di avvio mi dice
che il gformato dei moduli è invalido. Se ricompilo
il kernel mettendo il supporto modulare lì ed eliminando
gli alsa-driver, mi dice che non trova il dispositivo.
E a questo punto, che faccio? Non capisco perché, ma
col 2.6.14.5 2 col 2.6.15 mi sono sorti 'sti guai...

Te l'ho chiesto perchè io da poco ho preso l'abitudine di compilare
alsa direttamente nel kernel , e non usare più i driver , in modo da non dover ricompilare
ogni volta i driver al cambio del kernel.
Solo che prima di arrivare a non aver più problemi con alsa ho dovuto sbattere
su alcune configurazioni sbagliate , tipo moduli che non mettevo , oppure
altri che mettevo statici e invece andavano modulari.
Guardando il tuo config però ho notato una cosa
in questa parte del config hai queste voci

le dovresti comunque avere ,anche se commentate
come alcune altre
però dovrebbero esserci
perchè non ci sono?
hai per caso usato un config di un vecchio kernel?
E poi Io adesso ho una scheda audio pci,
ma anche prima quando avevo l'audio integrato nella motherboard
dovevo caricare alcuni moduli pci per farla andare
tipo
invece tu hai un solo modulo caricato nella pci devices
io ti consiglierei di mettere anche qualcos'altro
Penso che comunque il problema sia nel tuo config

Sono partito dal config del 2.6.14.5.
Quelle voci ci sono nel menuconfig,
semplicemente non le ho abilitate.
Non so perché comunque non compaiono.
Per quello che riguarda la scheda,
con hda intel e basta aveva sempre funzionato.
Adesso invece mettendo il supporto
come modulo, non me lo crea nemmeno.
e infatti non lo trovo in /lib/modules / ecc...
Dici che dovrei ripartire azerando le impostazioni
del vecchio config?

io adesso non dico che siano quelli i moduli che ti servono
però già il fatto che non esistono mi sembra strano
è vero non le hai abilitate
ma il is not set dovrebbe esserci comunque
a meno che
non siano state tolte nel kernel 2.6.15 che io non ho ancora visto

È hda intel.
Ho compilato alsa 1-0-11rc2 ma il problema non cambia.
Sembra che il formato dei moduli non gli garbi (invalid format)...

Di solito, il kernel, se non trova un
config in
/usr/src/linux, va a guardare il file
config che c'è in
/boot. Prova a cancellare anche quello. Ciao

Ho provato a ricompilare ripartendo da zero.
Poi ho visto le indicazioni della pagina segnalatami
da goldy (grazie!), ma non ho risolto. Eppure sono
due anni che tutto funzionava. Non capisco la causa
di sta faccenda. Ho provato a ricompilare per l'ennesima
volta il kernel mettendo tutto statico, ma ho comunque
dei guai e alsamixer non parte...

Ultimo aggiornamento: dando alsaconf la scheda viene riconosciuta,
stavolta i moduli venfono accettati correttamente,
ma ricevo il messaggio:
Loading ALSA mixer settings: /usr/sbin/alsactl restore
/usr/sbin/alsactl: set_control:873: failed to obtain info for control #1 (Invalid argument)

amixer: Mixer default load error: Invalid argument
E infatti i mixer di alsa non vanno...
Problema insolubile?

scusa se insisto ma io sono sempre più convinto
che sia un problema di compilazione di alsa
tra l'altro la tua scheda audio ha bisogno di questi moduli
snd-emu10k1
snd-pcm-oss
snd-mixer-oss
snd-seq-oss
e uno non lo hai messo,
indovina quale?
