suspend to disk con powersave

Salve a tutti amici di slacky,
ho installato powersave per provare ad effettuare la sospensione su disco.Traime kpowersave riesco ad andare in standby e riesco ad effettuare la sospensione su RAM, ma quando provo ad effettuare la sospensione su disco mi dà errore e mi dice che non c'è alcuna partizione di swap disponibile.Io la partizione di swap ce l'ho...vorrei sapere come fare a capire se la partizione è attiva o meno, e se c'è qualcosa che si può fare per risolvere sto problema di powersave (se si tratta di un errore di powersave!!! ).

devi passare la partizione a lilo
aggiungi al lilo.conf:

append = "resume=/dev/hdaX"
dove hdX è l'indirizzo della partizione swap

l'append è giustissimo, ma serve per fare il resume al riavvio non per fare la sospensione.
per caso ti ha dato l'errore subito la prima volta o magari alla seconda dopo una prova?

se riavvii dopo un suspend e ti dimentichi il "resume=" linux crede che la tua vecchia partizione di swap sia mal formattata e non la monta

e riprova il suspend

non ho capito, parli del file config che si utilizza per compilare il kernel? se è cosi, non ho passato nessun paramentro particolare.

Nella sezione "Power Management Support" della configurazione del kernel non c'è la voce "Software Suspend"...io uso il kernel 2.6.16.22. C'è qualche voce che devo attivare per renderla visibile?

Aggiornato tutto,pacchetti e guida
Lo standby funziona alla perfezione,il suspendtodisk non lo ho testato,mentre il suspend2ram e' l'unica procedura che da noia.
Ovviamente e' obbligatorio usare la current e gli ultimi drivers nvidia
