Configurare swaret

Ho installato slackware 10.1 poi ho installato swaret e ho aggiornato la slack alla 11. Sono andato nel file di configurazione di swaret ho messo "Version=current" e "Language=Italiano". Ho dato swaret --update poi swaret --upgrate e mi ha aggiornato solo kde. Come mai? Tutti gli altri programmi non me li ha aggiornati, p.e. firefox è ancora alla versione 1.5. E' un problema di repository? il vostro swaret.conf come è?
Suggerimenti per avere sempre i pacchetti più aggiornati?

imho sconsiglio un'aggiornamento selvaggio con swaret perchè molte volte crea dei casini con le dipendenze.

devi stare attento alla sintassi (maiuscole e minuscole ecc ecc) e comunque posta qui il tuo swaret.conf così se riesco ti do una mano.

Infatti, ci sono già passato.
Io non voglio fare un aggiornamento selvaggio. Voglio solo aggiornare le patch di sicurezza che si vedono sul sito slackware....
Possiible che non si possa automatizzare? Non volevo passare a debian solo per questo motivo.....

Vado qui e prendo quello che mi interessa se ho i pacchetti che necessitano di security fix.

Ma quindi per aggiornare il sistema e i programmi come si fa?

devi inserire dei repositories nello swaret.conf.
hai tutte le righe REPOS_ROOT commentate, quindi non trova i pacchetti.

metti quello di slacky:

e volendo metti quello di linux packages, anche se non mi fido più di tanto di quel repository.

una volta fatto dai nuovamente swaret --update e vedi se funziona.

se hai problemi fischia. 8) :lol:
