Compilando il kernel 2.6.21.5 con il config di Pat ad un certo punto mi esce questo errore :

Ho fatto un altro tentativo con lo stesso risultato ma in un altro punto del make poi ho reinstallato le gcc 3.4.6 e ricompilato :

Io ho avuto un problema simile ma non dipendeva per niente dal compilatore. Era impostato male l'HD . Tu mi dirai, che c'entra l'hd? Eh, misteri. Fatto sta che dopo che ho stemato bene il collegamento con l'HD dal BIOS è andato tutto bene (avevo un ATA 133 e nel BIOS era impostato con un rilevamento automatico (che non lo rilevava bene)). Ricordo che se ascoltavo un mp3 e poi provavo ad utilizzare il disco, ad esempio con un ls in una directory molto grande, l'mp3 si sentiva male.
Tutto questo per dirti che forse il compilatore non c'entra nulla.

Ho provato creando un nuovo utente e compilando da lì, non ho avuto problemi. Non so da cosa dipenda però ha funzionato. tentar non nuoce!
