ho modificato lo xorg mettendo le frequenze orizzontali e verticali specifiche del monitor

nella sezione screen ho messo

il problema è che la frequenza non riesco a metterla a 60Hz, Configure Dekstop me la da a 50 Ho ed è l'unica opzione disponibile

come risolvo?

Scrivi quella che sai essere giusta nella sezione monitor di xorg.conf, no?

la frequenza verticale e orizzontale è quella del monitor

Scusa, non so cosa sia Configure Desktop, comunque la sezione Monitor mi sembra vada bene...
Ho invece qualche perplessità su Modes "1680x1050/60Hz", non ho mai specificato in questo modo la frequenza, ho sempre indicato solo la risoluzione...
Ho visto semmai delle specificazioni con modeline, che però non ho mai usato...

Ah, e scusami per l'indicazione poco utile che ti ho dato prima, avevi già scritto di aver messo i valori in xorg.conf...

non ci ho pensato subito, ma ho guardato il menu del monitor e nella voce delle impostazioni la frequenza me la da a 60Hz, quello che mi fa strano è che il SO me la da a 50Hz
