problema wireless - slack 12

Ciao a tutti,
innanzitutto vi schematizzo la mia situazione:
Ho due pc (pc01 - slack 10.2)(pc02 - slack 12) collegati tra loro con un cavo cross sulla sottorete 192.168.0.0/24. Entrambe le macchine hanno una scheda wireless della 3com configurata sulla sottorete 192.168.1.0/24, sulla cui sottorete c'è anche il router, collegato all'access point.
Segue lo schema:

Il tutto ha funzionato finchè ho avuto due slack 10.2 con relativo modulo zd1211 compilato per kernel 2.6.18 e caricato all'avvio. Ora ho installato su pc02 la slack12 e non riesco a configurare il wireless.. Ho seguito la guida di Meskalamdug, ma non funziona!!

L'errore è questo:

Come faccio a risolvere? Non posso navigare con la mia slack nuova fiammante, non ho nessun cavo che arriva alla postazione :(

io ho delle schede wireless differenti dalla tua quindi potrebbe cambiare qualcosa, ma hai copiato in /lib/firmware/ il firmware della tua scheda?

E dove lo trovo il firmware?

Ancora una domandina:

Per far funzionare il tutto devo ogni volta digitare:

Altrimenti la mia slack mi vede la sk wireless come eth1 anzichè wlan0.. C'è un modo un po' più elegante di mettere le 3 suddette righe in rc.local?
