Fotocamera
Salve a tutti,
vorrei chiedervi una sorta di consulto...
Ho una fotocamera della canon e mia mamma vorrebbe utilizzarla proprio come su win e scaricare tramite il cavetto usb le foto dalla videocamera all'hd. Io sul mio pc ho il lettore di schede di memoria e sono abituata ad aggiungere al fstab una riga e ad usare le memory card come piccoli hd...Poi oltretutto le ho sempre montate e smontate da shell...
Oggi ho provato a connettere al portatile la fotocamera con il cavetto e, visto che la rilevava, ho pensato di trattarla come una chiavetta usb aggiungendo al fstab la riga :
/dev/sda1 /mnt/camera auto defaults 1 1
ma non funziona, in particolare sembra non esista sda(n) in /dev/....
Sicuramente sbaglio qualcosa ma cosa visto che invece provando sul mio fisso così funziona?
Poi ho notato che inserendo l'usb avvia una finestra tipo quella di windows dicendo che ha trovato una periferica e mi chiede come aprirla e che azioni fare, qualcuno di voi la usa? Funziona bene?
Inoltre...vorrei mettere in italiano il kde del laptop per comodità di mia mamma, c'è un pacchetto da scaricare? da dove lo posso prendere? E' immediata l'installazione?

Puoi accedere alla tua macchina in maniera simile a quanto fai con una chiavetta usb solo se la macchina supporta il protocollo "usb-storage". Eventualmente, annotati il modello esatto della tua fotocamera e consulta il sito:

Se non ti funziona scaricatelo da un mirror ftp://ftp.unina.it/pub/linux/distributi ... arch-1.tgz.

Dipende dal modello che hai.
Se utilizza il protocollo PTP devi usare digikam e sperare che libgphoto la supporti.
Se invece la fotocamera utilizza il protocollo usb-storage dovresti riuscire a montarla come una qualunque pennetta USB.
La mia ad esempio (Canon Powershoot A460) utilizza PTP, non è ancora supportata da libgphoto e quindi credo che acquisterò un lettore di schede di memoria.

Se si tratta della Canon Powershot A80, è pienamente supportata da libgphoto2:

Il supporto è solo in PTP mode per cui bisogna per forza usare libgphoto; succede anche con le Canon EOS.
Una volta installato libgphoto2 con le relative dipendenze ( http://gphoto.sourceforge.net/doc/manua ... ation.html ) bisogna ricordarsi di selezionare PTP mode nella fotocamera; a questo punto, inserendo il cavetto USB, i programmi come DigiKam dovrebbero essere in grado di scaricare le foto.
