Raga ho appena installato Slack, tutto apposto poi quando entro dal terminale root faccio startx lo schermo diventa nero e non succede niente

. Stavo pensando che forse è sbagliata la risoluzione di avvio e per questo si blocca, poi ho pensato che forse devo configurare l'avvio Xfce perchè li ho installati tutto compreso KDE ho un pc vecchiotto Athlon 1200 Mhz e 128 Mb di ram avete suggerimenti da darmi?? Che file devo modificare per migliorare la risoluzione e scegliere l'ambiente desktop???

Penso di avere una SIS 620 non mi ricordo

Aggiungi una sezione Device al tuo xorg.conf (lo trovi in /etc/X11/):

e, all'interno della sezione "Screen", cambia il Device da "Vesa Framebuffer" a "SIS 300" (o al nome che hai scelto per il device appena aggiunto).
Dopodichè salva le modifiche e prova a riavviare X. Vediamo se questo ci mette una toppa.
