Aiuto per Samba e rete con windowsXP

Ho fatto una rete tra una macchina WindowsXP, una con Slack10 e un MacOS9.
<BR>Sotto Slack ho settato anche Samba come root e tutto funziona bene (riesco a vedere le directory condivise, a sceiverci dentro) usando smb4k, ma quando mi loggo come utente usando smb4k non riesco a vedere neanche la rete lasciando settato nelle preferenze di rete "esamina la rete e recupera l´elenco degli host" e "nmblookup (scelta raccomandata)"
<BR>Un´altra cosa come fare a configurare la scheda di rete senza dare ogni volta il comando da root #ifconfig eth0 192.168.0.1 netmask 255.255.255.0 up ?
<BR>Devo riconfigurare il tutto con netconfig? quando ho usato netconfig ho usato l´opzione DHCP.

<BR>ho provato anche a configurare in netconfig un IP statico, ma tutto è rimasto invariato; da root tutto va ma da user niente.
