Xorg, driver ATI, 8500LE e uscita DVI

Dopo tre giorni di battaglie sono finalmente riuscito a far funzionare la mia ATI con i driver ufficiali per xorg 6.8.
<BR>
<BR>Premetto che ho aggiornato Xorg alla 6.8.2.
<BR>
<BR>Ho seguito, per l´installazione la guida "Slackware for dummies", scaricata qui.
<BR>
<BR>Tutto ok, tranne che per il mio monitor LCD, devo utilizzare l´ingresso analogico anzichè il DVI, cosa che non mi accadeva con Xorg 6.7 e driver ATI Radeon di default.
<BR>
<BR>Se lascio collegato solo l´ingrasso DVI Startx mi da schermo nero e dal log si evince che non trova il monitor.
<BR>
<BR>Qualcuno ha avuto la mia stessa esperienza ed ha risolto questo piccolo problema?
