ho dovuto reinstallare tutto slackware. ho cercato di abilitare lo scroll del mouse sono andato su xf86config e ho scritto allinterno della Section "InputDevice"

<BR>poi guardando qua e la ho anche modificato la tastiera da us a it in questa parte:

<BR>perfortuna avevo la live di slack e quindi ho rimodificato il file ripristinando "us" in xkblayout e cancellando le impostazioni del mouse.

cosa vuol dire commentare/decommentare?
<BR>in ogni caso il problema non è della tastiera, o meglio preferisco risolvere prima lo scroll.
<BR>la prima volta che ho installato slack mi è bastato copiare l´impostazione di x86config da un documento trovato su internet e al riavvio la rotellina funzionava. <br>

Decommentare significa togliere il cancelletto #
<BR>davanti alle righe. Il cancelletto rende inoperanti
<BR>i comandi delle righe davanti a cui è posto.
<BR>Se vuoi attivarle devi per l´appunto "decommentarle".
<BR>Per il mouse, devi inserire quelle righe...

ho capito il significato di decommentare.
<BR>bene adesso provo a decommentare le opzioni.
<BR>eppure non capisco come mai, la volta precedente non mi ha datto gli stessi problemi. mah....<br>

niente da fare non riesco a risolvere il problema. ogni volta che modifico xf86 al riavvio non parte la sessione X (non so se può essere utile uso Xfree 4.3.0)

niente da fare. non cambia nulla. riassumo ciò che accade:

<BR>il bello è che ho impostato il mouse anche in modalità testo e quindi vedo il cursore che si muove; eppure non parte kde

forse se ci incolli i messaggi che sputa fuori X quando non parte ti possiamo aiutare meglio. al limite valli a recuperare da /var/log.<br>

no, è che l´hai inserita nel posto sbagliato... pasta l´XF86Config.<br>
