USB problemi

Non riesco a far funzionare la macchina fotografica digitale e lo scanner usb entrambi supportati da linux.
Tutto funziona correttamente su pentium III celeron mentre su amd64 nada.

Cosa posso fare?

Magari puoi dirci il modello dei dispositivi?
Anche la versione del kernel non guasterebbe...

Quando inserisci la fotocamera, il comando dmesg|tail cosa di restituisce?

lo scanner è il canon lide30
la fotocamera è una nikon coolpix 4100
il kernel è 2.6.11.10
il pc è un athlon64 con slamd64
Entrambi i dispositivi venivano riconociuti senza problemi su un pc pentium 2 celeron.

Sigh

A occhio e croce sembra che le porte USB non funzionino pur venendo riconosciute dal kernel. DMESG | MORE ed ecco il risultato:

Scusa ma nel Celeron avevi lo stesso kernel?
Comunque prova ricompilare il kernel attivando staticamente l'USB 2.0 e la modalità prolissa nei messaggi USB.
Prova ad installare il megapack per la gestione delle fotocamere (libgphoto, gphoto2, digikam ecc...), vedi se te la riconosce con l'autodetect.
Per quanto riguarda lo scanner l'hai inserito??? Non vedo le stringhe in dmesg...
Il dispositivo /dev/scanner0 esiste?
