Penna usb

Ciao coem faccio a vedere il contenuto della penna usb?

Si anche io ti consilio tail -f /var/log/messages

comunque, se usi un kernel della serie 2.6.x il device è quasi sicuramente uba1.

Di solito a me la penna usb la vede come sda1
ovviamente non ho dischi scsi

il fatto che sia uba o sda dipende da un suporto che compili nel kernel di cui ora mi sfugge il nome...

hai hotplug attivo???

ti serve per caricare moduli in automatico in questo caso mass_storage mi pare...

Trattasi di SCSI low level drives,
che uno dovrebbe avere buonissime ragioni
per mettere. Sda è il canonico, non uba.

quindi consigliate di abilitarlo???
ma abilitandolo cambia il device da sda a uba
giusto???

A me sda lo dava con il vecchio 2.4
Da quando sono passato al 2.6 è diventato uba.
Poi se si tratta di SCSI low level drives non ne ho la più pallida idea nemmeno di cosa sia. Ma è così! :D

Uh, a dire il vero avevo capito male.. io mi riferivo a BLK_DEV_SD (il supporto per i dischi scsi), il low level non lo ho attivato.

Anche a me le riconosce come sd[a-z], ma credo sia appunto per `CONFIG_BLK_DEV_SD=y' e non per il low-level drivers che tu, suppongo, hai attivato per il disco sata.

Ah capito, allora si vede che nel 2.6 nel config di Pat non è abilitato perchè io sto usando quello con qualche piccola modifica...

io ho un kernel 2.4.29 e un SATA in /dev/sda


Mi sa che ho dei problemi con le porte usb del pannello frontale perche' anche sotto win non mi legge la penna(So per certo che funziona sulle porte usb posteriori)
