accelerazione hardware x quake3

Premetto: ho un p3 600 con una ati 9200 128 mb, con caricato il driver radeon del kernel da xorg; ieri ho installato quake3 (con il point installer e la versione per win), l'output è il seguente:

quindi l'accelerazione hardware non parte; inserendo il parametro suggerito, il vg parte ma lento come l'anno della fame. Come si fa quindi ad abilitare l'accelerazione hardware?

Usa i driver ufficiali della ati.
Le ultime versioni sono ben fatte anche per gli ultimi kernel.

Non centra l'accelerazione hardware, ma quella 3d, nel tuo caso non hai editato xorg.conf per attivare bene la glx. Comunque quando installi il driver della scheda video alla fine ti da una directory dovè cè il readme della scheda e ti spiega passo passo come settare xorg.conf.

Invece xorg è settato giusto con le glx e le dri caricate! Tipo
