Ciao a tutti,
ho appena compilato staticamente il supporto alla mia scheda audio nel kernel 2.6.13 ma la scheda non funziona. Se lancio alsaconf non me la rileva.
Ho provato ad aggiornare gli alsa all'ultima versione che ho trovato (1.0.9) ma era precompilata per il kernel 2.6.12.5. Magari il problema è proprio lì. Qualcuno sa come posso risolvere o dopo posso trovare gli alsa precompilati per l'ultimo kernel?

No, il problema è che se compili i driver staticamente, alsaconf non trova i moduli e quindi non procede ad installarteli modificando modprobe.conf.
Se hai compilato la scheda audio staticamente (cosa che sconsiglio), dovresti già trovarti in /proc/asound il file card0, ma non hai i link corretti sui device, per quello probabilmente non funge.
Per tagliare la testa al pinguino, compila i driver alsa del kernel come moduli (<M>), e poi rilancia alsaconf.
Se invece vuoi compilare "esternamente" alsa, devi DISABILITARE il supporto nel kernel, altrimenti non porta a termine la fase di ./configure.

Uso Slackware 10.1 aggiornata a current da pochi giorni.

Salve, anche io il solito problema, o compilato il nuovo kernel 2.6.13 usando il config di Pat relativo al 2.6.12.5 e l ho riguardato tutto, togliendo solo moduli e parti statiche che non mi servivano,tant'è che il kernel va benissimo.
Il problema l ho sull audio, infatti facendo partire alsaconf non trova schede.
dmesg all avvio scrive

Hai un Chipset Nforce2 mi pare quindi ti conviene scaricare i driver proprietari Nvidia http://www.nvidia.com/object/linux_nforce_1.0-0306

Questi installano un driver per l'audio ed uno per la rete,li installi per questo devi avere i sorgenti del kernel.
Poi modifichi modprobe.conf per il 2.6 altrimenti modules.conf per il 2.4
ed inserisci

alias eth0 nvnet
alias sound-slot-0 nvsound


Poi vai nel centro di controllo di Kde > Sistema sonoro e come Hardware scegli Threaded OSS e come sampling rate 48000 poi metti un segno di spunta su fullduplex per far funzionare il microfono

ho fatto come hai detto, alla fine dell installazione dei driver però mi ha dato un kernel panic.
Quando ormai era al 100%.
Ho riavviato a mano.
Ho fatto come hai detto ma all avvio di kde mi da sempre il solito errore.
Non c'è un altro modo?
Non capisco perche con il 2.6.12.5 (il config l ho preso da li) e con i pacchetti alsa appositi per il 2.6.12.5 alsaconf mi trovi la scheda.
Non potrei compilare a mano gli alsa?

Con i chipset Nforce Alsa non serve perchè i driver propietari sono moduli Oss,
Di solito conviene disabilitare dal config del kernel sia i moduli che gestiscono l'audio Nforce che quello che gestisce la rete.
Io Alsa non l'ho nella configurazione

Riprovare l installazione di questi ultimi?
La faccenda dei permessi poi come funge?
Non è che è come alsa che si devon dare permessi 666 ai vari devices in /dev?

scusa ma su questo argomento non sono ferrato, ho sempre usato alsa.

Puoi darmi una mano nel riuscire a far funzionare l audio in qualche modo?

Trovo strano che ti dia un Kernel Panic Se hai una Cpu Amd64 c'è un'altro driver da scricare

Per il resto la procedura è quella che ti ho detto prima. Io però ho avuto grossi problemi con la current e l'audio tanto da ritornare alla 10.1.
Inoltre ho notato che il kernel che sembra vada più d'accordo con i driver nforce sia il 2.6.11. Con i successivi ho sempre avuto problemi di compilazione
