k3b errore input/output inspiegabile dopo upgrade kde 3.4.2

Ciao ragazzi.
Ho da poco upgradato kde alla 3.4.2 con i pacchetti ufficiali e successivamente upgradato tutta la slack alla 10.2....ora pero mi ritrovo con un errore di k3b che non riesco sincerametne a comprendere.
Mi il solito messaggio "errore di input/output, non necessariamente serio" e poi mi dice che s'è verificato un errore in scrittura.
Credo che l'errore sia comparso a seguito dell'aggiornamento di kde e cio' che rende il tutto ancora piu strano è il fatto che 1 cd sono riuscito a masterizzarlo anche dopo la comparsa dell'errore, anche se è stato un caso isolato...

Ho notato poi che i dvd li masterizza tranquillamente...ho pensato allora che l'errore potesse essere per colpa dei riscrivibili mal formattati ed ho fatto la formattazione completa di uno....ma è tutto come prima :/

Ho il problema inverso dopo il passaggio alla 10.2. Cd-r e cd-rw ok. Dvd nisba! Continua a darmi errore sul riconoscimento dell'unità

ho provato a masterizzare con xcdroast ed a quanto pare il problema dev'essere legato a cdrecord e non a k3b xche anche questo software si rifiuta di masterizzare i cd:

Io proverei a far partire k3bsetup.
Sembrerebbe un problema di permessi "sputtanati".
Anche se anch'io ho problemi con i DVD da utente, che riesco a masterizzare solo lanciando k3b da root col comando kdesu k3b.

Sto bestemmiando.
Ho provato a controllare queste dipendenze:
id3lib, lame, libmusicbrainz, libsndfile, libmpcdec.
ed ho notato che sndfile mancava ed id3lib e musicbrainz erano da aggiornare...
Ma niente!
Mi dice che probabilmente si è verificato un BUFFER UNDERRUN e di abilitare burnfree o scegliere una velocita' inferiore e riprovare....ho provato a farlo...sia con cd dati sia con iso....sia su riscrivibile che su cd normale anche a basse velocita ma niente...questo è uno dei log:

e se fosse colpa di uno di quei file in /etc/ con estensione *.new?
Io li ho confrontati uno ad uno e mi pare di aver fatto le cose correttamente...ma nn si sa mai...la butto li...
