Problema installazione urgente

Avvio il cd bootable di Slackware 10.2, arrivo alla console di root, lancio cfdisk e mi da il seguente errore :
Opened disk read-only - you have no permission to write ... prmeo invio ...
No partition table ok unknow signature on partition table
Do you wish to start with a zero table [y/N]?
Se selezioni Yes mi mostra la tabella delle partizioni che contiene solo il CD
... mi viene il dubbio che cerchi nel cd le partizioni ....
Se provo un fdisk /dev/sdc (ha hard-disk Sata)
The number of cylinders for this disk is set to 19929
There is nothing wrong with that, but this is larger than 1024, and could in certain setups cause problems with :
1) software that runs at boot time
2) booting and partitioning software from othes OSs bla bla bla ....
Praticamente è come se scambiasse il CD per l'Hard-Disk
