Ho montato un'hard-disk Maxtor 80GB ma facendo fdisk -l mi da questo:

# fdisk -l

l'hard-disk maxtor è hdd come mai me ne trova soltanto 33.8GB e non 80GB ?

Se la scheda madre è vecchiotta è un problema di Bios. Mi ricordo che tempo fa montando un disco da 40 Gb su un vecchio Pentium2 450Mhz, veniva visto solo in modalità compatibile.
Infatti di solito i dischi Maxtor hanno un ponticello dietro per funzionare in modalità a 30 Gb per i vecchi Bios.
