XFCE+compiz+current

Salve a tutti,
mi son lasciato prendere dalla current... :)
L'ho installata per vedere compiz sopratutto. Ho installato solo il primo cd, dove ce solo il sitema base con xfce e fluxbox. Dunque ho seguito un po di guide per avviare AIXGL e per settare i parametri della mia ati 9200SE (che piu leggo piu scopro che è una caccata!!). lancio XFCE, controllo che ci sia il DRI attivato e aiglx, tt ok come confermano i log. lancio compiz e nn ce niente da fare mi da sempre lo stesso errore:

che si fa? ho cercato un po di soluzioni ma niente sempre lo stesso: viene fermato xfwm4, gestore finestre di xfce, e compiz nn parte.
C'e qualche problema con xfce da risolvere? Avete qualche suggerimento?

Che driver hai usato per la scheda ati? Se hai usato
quelli proprietari non supportano AIGLX quindi devi
usare i radeon che trovi già preistallati nel sistema.

[probabile_ca**ata]non ne sono sicuro ma credo che compiz/beryl funzionino solo con schede nvidia... [/probabile_ca**ata]
puoi provare metisse, (non è un 3d desktop manager, ma include numerose particolarità 3d...) se proprio vuoi il cubo non saprei cosa consigliarti... puoi guardare
3Ddesktop ma non so se può interessarti...

In
quest'altro thread trovi i pacchetti di metisse...
dagli un'occhiata...

Dunque, ho i driver radeon. compiz funziona anche con driver xorg sulle ati e anche con xfce. almeno dalle notizie varie lette su vari siti, compreso quello di compiz. Il fatto che lucif3r0 usi beryl su radeon9200SE mi da buone speranze... sul file xorg.conf ho messo i parametri soliti trovati sia sul sito compiz che su xorg per ottimizzare il 3d..
non so davvero. Ho provato con diverse opzioni di compiz e con plugin diversi ma niente.

ho letto il vecchio post che dici. mi sono accorto che mi avevi chiesto come installare kompose. la soluzione è usare il tgz per la 10.2 su linuxpackages. aggiungo inoltre che l'ho riprovato e va abbastanza bene. scattante e sopratt si usa il mouse, nn come skippy per cui si deve usare il tasto.
Hai qualche dritta per risolv il mio problema? visto che abbiamo la stessa scheda... nn so se vuoi ti posto xorg.conf, nn so. comunque sto provando compiz 0.5 presente nella current.

Ho provato anche a mettere kde ma niente sempre lo stesso errore.
Invece in XFCE ora da solo questo:

Ero messo come te Stessa scheda video, simile xorg.conf, stesso errore....
poi mi sono imbattuto in questo:

in pratica ho creando una variabile con:
export LIBGL_ALWAYS_INDIRECT=TRUE
poi ho "avviato" compiz.....

Purtr ho gia provato a mettere questa variabile, ma nn ha dato nessun cambiamento. Pero ho fatto LIBGL_ALWAYS_INDIRECT=TRUE senza export prima... provo... :)

e pensare che bastava un export, nn ci ho pensato, ho messo la variabile cosi come diceva.... va bene grazie.
Su kde funziona anche il decoratore finestre, ma su xfce come si puo avere? perche adesso scompare?
