Eu venho a informar sobre a minha distro SYS e sobre pacotes .tgz compativeis com o Slackware 12.1:

ftp://ftp.uni-siegen.de/pub/sys-linux (pacotes .tgz , bom sortear pelo tempo des-crescendo)
ftp://sys.c3sl.ufpr.br/SYS (.iso do Install-DVD)

A distro vem com 17 GB de software instalado, para a instalaçao e bom ter > 18 GB espaço vazio (nao-particionado) no disco-duro. A instalaçao e totalmente automatica. wifi e bluetooth funcionam.

Os pacotes .tgz de slacky.it sao de excelente qualidade. O meu distro SYS contem todos deles, com excepçao daqueles programas dos quais eu mesmo fiz pacotes.


Meus pacotes incluem sempre versoes mais atualizados do kernel, atualmente linux-2.6.26-rc5-i486-1sys.tgz , e glibc-2.7 compilado referente aos haeders do kernel mais atual.

I miei pacchetti comprendono la versione del kernel linux-2.6.25-rc5i486-1sys.tgz e glibc-2.7 compilati con gli headers del kernel attuale (traduzione NON perfetta)

Questa è la traduzione (probabilmente qualche cosa è errata) del messaggio. Sarebbe bello provare questa distribuzione la SYS.

Credo di non aver mai dedicato più di 15 GB alla partizione di sistema... e generalmente non ne ho mai occupati più di 10...

18GB di di software installato automaticamente mi spaventa un po'....

Sicuramente ha creato una distribuzione con una marea di programmi "addormentati" che se ti servono te li installa senza scaricarli, almeno penso.

Ho dato un occhiata al sito e da quello che ho capito il DVD al boot cancella l' hard disk e ci installa Linux in modo totalmente automatico .... senza fare quelle solite stupide domande .... Bellissimo !!! quindi se fate delle prove state attenti ...

Na seria 2.6.26 do novo kernel tem problemas com o parametro do kernel/lilo edd=on/off. Ao lançar o dvd da instalaçao, tem varias opçoes / chamadas alternativas para o boot (i, a,b,c,d) caso que seu computador tenha problemas com a opçao edd. Com edd=on , alguns computadores caiem logo no inicio do boot; com edd=off, outros mais tarde nao acham o dvd da instalaçao.

Me wrote in potugues because I think it`s more similar to italien. Me dont speek english good, me know better portugues, german, wolof, what most prefered. For me self most easy is use german.


Ich benutze .tgz Pakete von diesem site schon seit Jahren. Dieses site und die Pakete sind von sehr guter Qualitaet. Das Linux System hat jedoch das Problem, dass es fuer viele einfachen Leute zu kompliziert ist. Mit den Distro-Machern oder Programmierern zu sprechen, damit sie ihre Programme und Distros einfacher machen, hatte jedoch keinen Erfolg, die verteidigen die Maengel statt sie zu beheben. Deshalb habe ich eine eigene Distro gemacht.

Die Pakete .tgz von slacky.it sind von exzellenter Qualitaet. Meine Distro SYS hat sie alle aufgenommen, ausser fuer die Programme fuer welche ich selbst Pakete gemacht habe.

Meine Pakete beinhalten immer neuste Versionen vom Kernel, momentan linux-2.6.26-rc5-i486-1sys.tgz , und glibc-2.7 bezogen auf die Uebergabeparameter jenes neusten Kernels..

Ich habe ein aktualisiertes Install-DVD gemacht, mit Kernel 2.6.26-rc6 , X 1.4.2, mesa 7.0.3 , OpenOffice 3.0-beta, gimp 2.5 etc etc etc:

Die Seris 2.6.26 des neuen Kernels hat Probleme mit dem Kernel-/lilo-Parameter edd=on/off. Falls Ihr Computer Probleme wegen dem Parameter edd hat, gibt es auf dem Install-DVD mehrere Alternativen / Optionen zum booten (i, a,b,c,d beim booten eintippen). Mit edd=on stuerzen einige Computer gleich beim booten mit edd-error ab; mit edd=off dagegen finden manche Computer spaeter nicht das Geraet vom Install-DVD.

- Uso i pacchetti .tgz da anni.
- Questo sito ed i suoi pacchetti sono di ottima qualita`.
- Linux System e` troppo complicato per la gente semplice.
- Per questo faccio una mia distro.

- La distro installa 18GB, automatica, compresi wifi e bluetooth.

- I pacchetti .tgz di slacky.it sono eccellenti.
- La mia distro SYS li include quasi tutti, tranne i miei differenti.

- I miei pacchetti contengono sempre la versione piu` recente del kernel.

- Post #5 oben? Non capisco cosa intenda/a cosa si riferisca.

- Ho fatto un Install-DVD attualizzato, kernel 2.6.26-rc6 ecc.

- Il kernel 2.6.26 ha problemi con lilo per il parametro edd=on/off,

SYS 0.23-rc5 of 12..17/8/2008

This is pretended to be the last pre-release of 0.23, and any problems should be reported most quickly possible.

Many programs were substituted by better ones, all were updated. linux 2.6.26.2 and glibc 2.7 compiled with its headers, glib 2.17.6, gcc 4.2.4, gtk+ 2.13.6, pango 1.21.4, cairo 1.7.4, mesa 7.0.3, X 1.4.2, compiz-fusion 0.77, perl 5.8.8, OpenOffice 3.0.0.9339, gimp 2.5.2, alsa 1.0.17, pulseaudio 0.9.10, songbird 0.8rc , banshee 1.2, flashplayer 10rc etc.

The installation DVD of SYS brings about 5000 or 17,5 GB applications, and more can be downloaded from the repository. The most of them, their programmers didnt yet adapt to KDE 4, so that at the moment we stay with KDE 3.5.9 and gnome 2.23.6, in order to deliver a stable system with the biggest selection of applications and most fast and easy possible to install.

I'm very glad to can anounce that meanwhile became ready version 0.23 of SYS. It can be download on the mirror (link see last post). Everything is working well: internet/ADSL, wifi, bluetooth, camera, printer, all other kinds of perifericals. Try it !

Recently was released SYS 0.23+ , the install DVD is on the mirrors. Also, there have new packages (sorting by decreasing time, in the web browser)

I've tested openoffice-3.1.0-9388-i486-1sys.tgz in a new-installed Slackware 12.2 ... it works fine, but icons in K-menu not appear because, in this case, it is first ooo installation (I think) ...

however I will try your distro and your packages (and help you with some feedbacks if need) ... the bandwidth of your repositories is wide and I try to download all tgz packages from main tree with wget (wget -c ...*.tgz), but there are too many testing packages (i.e. linux-x.x.xx-git2, .xx-git3, .xx-git4, etc.), so I think may be better to use separate folder ...

now I try to download .iso image ... there are two important questions:
- latest ISO is ftp://ftp.tu-chemnitz.de/pub/linux/SYS/SYS_Linux.iso ?
- the ISO contains packages as in ftp tree or only a disk image of filesystem (or compressed-tar image of filesystem) ?
