Chiedo scusi a tutti, ho un ACER Travelmate 3300 con un dispositivo bluetooth integrato. Ho installato nell'ordine Slackware 11.0, 12.0 e 12.1 nella speranza che gli aggiornamenti che vengano eseguiti permetta finalmente di riconoscere il dispositivo, ma non c'è speranza. Bluez e bluez-firmware sono installati, nel kernel ho inserito tutti i moduli bluetooth disponibili, funziona correttamente con penne usb bluetooth, ma non riconosce la scheda interna. Ho provato a vedere con lspci, lspcmcia, ... ma niente da fare. Sono andato in giro su internet e ho letto che la acer rilascia dei driver proprietari solo per windows. Volevo chiedere se qualcuno ha mai avuto problemi del genere e come li ha risolti( se li ha risolti). Grazie

Prima di tutto cerca di capire come è collegato il tuo modulo bluetooth... Nel mio DELL risulta come un dispositivo USB... Probabilmente anche nel tuo...
A me è bastato rendere eseguibile lo script di avvio del bluetooth per renderlo funzionante...

Se dovesse servire prova ad abilitare alcuni servizi mettendo il true dove server nel /etc/rc.d/rc.bluetooth.conf...
comunque sia la 12.0 che la 12.1 vanno bene... La 11 non mi ricordo...

Ho già provato, ma niente da fare. Non compare neanche in lsusb. Quindi non so più che fare.

Aspetta... Forse è più semplice di quanto pensi.. Non è che hai un interruttore per accenderlo e spegnerlo?? O magari una combinazione di tasti con FN + F1 o roba simile???

C'è un pulsante e ho provato in vari a farlo riconoscere, tipo con acer hot key, ma niente da fare. Anche con i vari strumenti di degug forniti da X11, tipo Xgear e cose simili. Ma niente da fare.

Ma dovrebbe essere una qualcosa a livello hardware... Indipendente dal software...
Certo!!! Magari con setkeyb (o setkeycode, non mi ricordo come si chiama)... Puoi mappare la combinazione particolare per farli fare qualcosa... Ma presumo che tutto ciò sia inutile perché viene gestito direttamente dal BOIS...
comunque... Posta l'output di lspci -v ed lsusb per vedere cosa dicono!!!

Ha due pulsantini davanti... Uno per la wireless (quando acceso è arancione) e l'altro per il BT (quando acceso è blu).. In teoria schiacciando il bulsante del bluetooth dovrebbe accendersi indipendentemente dal SO.. Prova a schiacciarlo una sola volta (anche se non si acende non fa niente) e dopo a dare lsusb...
Essendo un dispositovo USB dovrebbe caricarsi il modulo del kernel in automatico...

Niente da fare, anche premendo il pulsante non riconosce alcun dispositivo usb. Penso anchio che il bluetooth sia usb, ma siccome quelle merde dell'acer fanno programmini del tipo acer power management, che è quello che su windows abilita la bluetooth, usa quelli per abilitare il device. Ho provato pure a chiedere informazioni a loro, e mi hanno gentilmente risposto che se voglio informazioni da loro, devo usare la versione di windows preinstallata.
