Non so se puo' essere utile a qualcuno...
Ho appena fatto una patch stupida per compilare il driver ATI fglrx con kernel 2.6.27.
No, non sono un genio... E' il problema di partenza che era proprio stupido: il team del kernel ha rimosso un parametro (che era gia' inutilizzato da un po' di versioni) dalla funzione "smp_call_function" (e di conseguenza anche da un'altra funzione), e la compilazione dei driver ATI con la 2.6.27 si pianta proprio nei punti in cui sono chiamate quelle due funzioni cambiate dal team del kernel.
La patch modifica solo ed esclusivamente il firegl_public.c (l'ho detto prima, e' una patch molto stupida).
Se ci riesco allego il file della patch (sono imbranato in queste cose e gia' non mi e' riuscito sul forum di slamd64

), altrimenti faccio un semplice copia-e-incolla!

Ho già il 2.6.27 pronto, ma non lo uso per questo problema...

L'ho applicato con
patch < /home/sardylan/atipatch.patch
Unica pecca, non è possibile fare il pacchetto dei drivers...

Bisognerebbe farne uno o riuscire a lanciare lo slackbuild interno che lavori direttamente sui dati spacchettati dall'installer ufficiale, in modo da pacchetizzare il tutto!!!

Possiamo fare in modo che lo slackbuild interno si comporti come quello esterno, ovvero, prima di creare il modulo per il kernel, applica, se ci sono, delle patch trovate in una directory particolare, patch che però dovrebbero avere un nome particolare, ad esempio:
/etc/ati/patch/fglrx_patch_VERSIONE-INSTALLER_VERSION-KERNEL
così, se e solo se, matchano VERSIONE-INSTALLER e VERSIONE-KERNEL, allora viene applicata la patch.
Che ne pensate?

. La mia era una proposta per i futuri slackbuild interni, per ora non ha la possibilità di patchare i file dell'installer.
Se vuoi patchare a mano devi fare, supponendo che la patch da applicare sia in /root/atipatch.patch:

che crea il pacchetto per il server X. Installa il pacchetto creato con
Ora ti serve compilare il modulo del kernel. Devi fare:
