Tra l'altro, a Slackware è stata destinata l'ultima donazione mensile da parte di Distrowatch ( http://distrowatch.com/weekly.php?issue ... 7#donation ): solo 500 $, ma è il gesto che conta e, inoltre, è una delle cifre più alte di sempre...

già AlienBOB si era espresso dicendo che Slackware non sarebbe morta.

Anche perchè la distribuzione, come potete notare, viene comunque sviluppata.

anche passando questi numeri, verrebbe da dire che questo 99% di coloro che vogliono risolte le dipendenze corrispondono a un 10^-5 dell'intera community di Slackware
Anzi.. costoro non sono nemmeno da annoverare come utenti slackware, ma come semplici turisti di questa distribuzione.

Il premio Pulitzer, ecco cosa ti darei. Ma come t'é venuta in mente la storia dei turisti?

Io rientro sicuramente in quel 99%. La mancata gestione delle dipendenze è una delle poche caratteristiche di Slackware che non amo.

Capisco benissimo, sia inteso. Infatti, anche se per lo slacker fare le cose a mano è una libidine, credo che nessuno di noi ne abbia sempre il tempo e il 'tasto magico' farebbe certamente comodo (e infatti ci sono dei tool appositi per chi li vuole). Ma qual è il prezzo di consentire modifiche upstream dei pacchetti? Il prezzo è intaccare la proverbiale stabilità di questa distribuzione. Penso che con una scelta del genere non dovrebbe chiamarsi più Slackware. E che il vero slacker accetti volentieri questa filosofia, l'unica -a mio modetissimo avviso- che consente di sentirsi veramente il padrone assoluto del proprio sistema.
Se potessimo aprire un sondaggio mi piacerebbe sapere qual è il motivo principale per cui abbiamo scelto slackware.
