In breve qualcuno sa se esiste un simulatore di rete(router cisco,switch,etc)
stile gns3?
Gns3 non riesco a farlo andare in quanto richiede qemu patchato,e il qemu patchato
è il 0.14.1(di tre anni fa!!) che non compila sotto slackware 14.1.
Qualche consiglio?

sul sito di gns3 dicono che qemu 1.1 dovrebbe andare anche senza patch
ma non va...appena do console non appare un corno

l'ho appena installato da SBo e sembra funzionare (pero' come dice nel README, ci vuole un immagine del Cisco IOS da installarci sopra).

L'immagine cisco va bene,sono i guest di qemu che non vanno..

che qemu usi?

Sto provando l'ultimo 1.7.0..
e non va.
Lo slackbuild è quello di SBo

io non ho un immagine IOS (per ora), ma domani posso provare.

Partendo da una configurazione pulita non funziona nulla

io invece ho provato a emulare il 7200 e funziona: anch'io ho qemu 1.7.0, compilato (non ho idea se e' quello, dovrebbe servire per l'emulazione arm) avendo installato prima device-tree-compiler.
ho (piu' o meno) seguito questa guida.

Quella è una console su Cisco,e va pure a me.
Io sto parlando di guest qemu,prova ad avviare un guest e dimmi se va.

Con il tuo qemu parte.
Però mi da cpu al 100% e le immagini non vanno..
che disastro.

ho fatto una prova con gns3-0.8.6: ho messo, nelle preferenze del qemu guest, come "qemu options", "-display sdl".
ho provato ad avviare l'immagine di linux-core-4.7.7 ed e' partita regolarmente.

sai cosa? se usi -current e' possibile che l'opzione di qemu "-display sdl" da oggi non ci voglia piu': sembra che fosse un problema legato alle opzioni di compilazione di cairo (ed e' possibile che venga anche aggiornato sulla 14.1).
