Ciao,

ho installato una atheros AR9280 su un alix con OpenBSD 4.7
La scheda viene riconosciuta come athn0 ma non riesco ad assegnarli nessun IP.

Ecco cosa faccio per connettermi ad una rete wireless che ho qui a casa:

# ifconfig athn0 nwid ESSID wpa wpapsk `wpa-psk ESSID PASSWORD` chan 6 media autoselect

Fatto questo ifconfig athn0 risulta essere così:

suppongo che sia una interfaccia wireless.

Allora devi prima creare una interfaccia wlan e poi lavorare su quella intefaccia, il comando è questo (reperibile anche da "man athn" me pare) .

Si è un interfaccia wireless, scusa se non l'ho detto prima.
Il comando mi ritorna questo errore:

# ifconfig wlan create wlandev athn0  
ifconfig: SIOCIFCREATE: Invalid argument

Nel man di athn non dice niente a proposito di questo comando, quindi suppongo che si possa usare direttamente athn0 no?

adesso sono riuscito a creare un interfaccia vlan.
Ma come la gestisco per connettermi ad una wireless?
Posso usarla in maniera normale?

Cioe andesso posso assegnarli un IP, ma per quanto riguarda ESSID e password?
