ciao, ho una scheda video della nvidia (nvidia riva tnt2), vorrei sapere se si può ottimizzarla ad esempio instalando qualche driver senza fare casini nel computer, dato che ad esempio quando uso qualche applicazione in 3d si vede tutto a scatti. grazie 1000 per la disponibilità :D

Installa i driver ufficiali messi a disposizione da nVidia, li trovi direttamente sul sito del produttore...
Sono semplici da installare e funzionano alla grande!

devi installare questa versione ftp://download.nvidia.com/XFree86/Linux ... 4-pkg0.run (con quelle più recenti non c'è più il supporto)
dopo che hai fatto l'installazione devi mettere "nvidia" al posto di "nv" nel file xorg.conf

ho provato con l'ultima versione, ma l'installaione (da modalità testo) è fallita. questo è il log dell'errore:

l'errore te lo da perché come ho detto quella scheda non è più supportata. L'ultima versione funzionante è quella che ho postato. Il link a me funziona, fai come suggerisce gallows
