mysql@darkstar:/home/matteo$

a questo punto cerco di cambiarla:

$ /usr/bin/mysqladmin -u root password 'MiaPassword'
/usr/bin/mysqladmin: connect to server at 'localhost' failed
error: 'Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/run/mysql/mysql.sock' (2)'
Check that mysqld is running and that the socket: '/var/run/mysql/mysql.sock' exists!

061209 11:11:28 [ERROR] /usr/libexec/mysqld: Can't find file: './mysql/help_relation.frm' (errno: 13)
061209 11:11:28 [ERROR] /usr/libexec/mysqld: Can't find file: './mysql/help_relation.frm' (errno: 13)
061209 11:11:28 [ERROR] /usr/libexec/mysqld: Can't find file: './mysql/help_relation.frm' (errno: 13)
061209 11:11:28 [ERROR] /usr/libexec/mysqld: Can't find file: './mysql/help_relation.frm' (errno: 13)
061209 11:11:28 [ERROR] /usr/libexec/mysqld: Can't find file: './mysql/help_relation.frm' (errno: 13)
061209 11:11:28 [ERROR] /usr/libexec/mysqld: Can't find file: './mysql/help_relation.frm' (errno: 13)
061209 11:11:28 [ERROR] /usr/libexec/mysqld: Can't find file: './mysql/help_relation.frm' (errno: 13)
061209 11:11:28 [ERROR] /usr/libexec/mysqld: Can't find file: './mysql/help_relation.frm' (errno: 13)
061209 11:11:28 [ERROR] /usr/libexec/mysqld: Can't find file: './mysql/help_relation.frm' (errno: 13)
061209 11:11:28 [ERROR] /usr/libexec/mysqld: Can't find file: './mysql/help_relation.frm' (errno: 13)

To start mysqld at boot time you have to copy support-files/mysql.server
to the right place for your system

PLEASE REMEMBER TO SET A PASSWORD FOR THE MySQL root USER !
To do so, start the server, then issue the following commands:
/usr/bin/mysqladmin -u root password 'new-password'
/usr/bin/mysqladmin -u root -h darkstar password 'new-password'
See the manual for more instructions.

You can start the MySQL daemon with:
cd /usr ; /usr/bin/mysqld_safe &

You can test the MySQL daemon with the benchmarks in the 'sql-bench' directory:
cd sql-bench ; perl run-all-tests

Please report any problems with the /usr/bin/mysqlbug script!

http://www.slacky.it/tutorial/mysql/black_mysqlhowto
o
http://www.forum-linux-italia.com/apach ... -vt80.html
?

http://www.slacky.it/forum/viewtopic.php?t=14005
http://www.slacky.it/forum/viewtopic.php?t=13479
http://www.slacky.it/forum/viewtopic.php?t=10424
e tanti altri...
