Hi PROXIMO, you can easily make it yourself, using the archive and changing the version number in the old Slackbuild

to use the src from the current skype here ? and what version from the site linux-static or dynamic ..and what else?

You have to download the static version from http://www.skype.com/download/skype/linux/choose/

You can get the Slackbuild here on Slacky or in your /usr/doc/skype-2.0.0.xx directory, you have to modify the line with VERSION with 2.0.0.68

ok i got that i will rename it but what should i do with the tarball extract and compile it or just extract & replace with it .63 version.
and what is the diff b/n static and dynamic?
