I am here with the hope that someone could make a Slackware package for Cheese.

I know it has gnome dependencies but with this occasion maybe some of those dependencies will also get updated.

You can try to search in Gslacky, I used cheese when I had Slackware 12.2 (32).

I succesfully compiled cheese for slackware 13.0 by installing few packages from slacky.eu repo (not gslacky).
I suggest you to find cheese dependencies and search for these slackbuild into slacky's repo .

I succesfully compiled and tested version 2.26.3.
