Hello again. I suppose there will be a new tgz for K3b soon.
I saw that previous version of K3b /0.12.5/, released here, had a lots of requirements. Well this maybe means more functionality. But can I ask... What about the packages of K3b in slackware.com/extra directory... Slackware provides K3b in /extra also. As far as I can see the latest version there is 0.12.4a
Well if I use it, it works fine even without those requirements.
Of cource I will prefer the new 0.12.6 which will be released here one day. But can someone explain why we need all those requirements?
The slackware's old version works good even without these extra packages...

If you take a look here http://www.k3b.org/ , under "Documentation>>Requirements", you will be able to see that only KDE >= 3.2, QT >= 3.2, cdrecord/mkisofs and dvd+rw-tools are compulsory. The rest of requirements are optional.

Well, yes...
It means that it can work without so many requirements. I guess it depends on the person who is making it... And probably Loris wants more functionality
