Hi there!
The reason I registered on this forum is here: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=37713 so I won't write it here. Better I write something about me.
I am from Slovakia, Bratislava, where I with 2 other friends run local alternative ISP. The main infrastructure is running Slackware (of course) and also 1/2 of our desktops (of course!). We use also few FreeBSDs (only for some 155 mbit ATM laser connections), some MikroTiks etc. I'm using Linux since RedHat 4.0 (1997), at the time without X (I was unable to start X maybe 1 year until next RedHat version
and since then I use Linux exclusively). In my previous work I worked also with some Big Unices (HPUX, AIX, Solaris), I also touched VMS (that was something weird!). I also used Linux from Scratch on my routers for few years, but then I converted all of them to Slackware (I was able to convert all of my routers live, few hours of manually installing packages and single remote reboot). Using Slack since then, maybe 11 years now....
So now I decided to read some Italian
(ok ok ok my big brother Google will help me with that for sure) and again compile few packages for myself. This time I also want to share with YOU so I will probably ask some questions here and there.
Starting with LibreOffice and Kdenlive for my slack64-14.1 notebook
