D-link DWL-G520 mode monitor

ciao,
devo settare la mia scheda Wifi D-link DWL-G520 (driver MadWifi) in modalità mode monitor,
ho cercato su internet ma con il comando
iwconfig ath0 mode monitor
mi restituisce :
Error for wireless request "Set Mode" (8B06);
SET failed on device ath0; Invalid argument
qualcuno sa dirmi dove sbaglio?
PS: non funziona neanche con iwconfig ath0 mode master
funziona solamente con iwconfig ath0 mode managed.

Per mettere in modo monitor una scheda che usa madwifi devi usare il tool wlanconfig.
Nel tuo caso le operazioni sono queste:
(elimina l'interfaccia ath0 che solitamente viene creata automaticamente in modalità managed all'inserzione del modulo ath_pci)
Codice: Seleziona tutto
wlanconfig ath0 create wlandev wifi0 wlanmode monitor
(crea l'interfaccia ath0 in modalità monitor)

mi restituisce :
