Driver Video Intel Q965/Q963 Express Chipset Family GMA 3000

Ciao a tutti,
ho appena installato slackware 12.2 su un pc hp compaq dc5700 e non so come configurare la scheda video in oggetto.
Ho letto la guida ma cita ati e nvidia. Ho provato ad aggiungere alcune risoluzioni in /etc/X11/xorg.conf ma la massima che ottengo in kde è 1024 x 768.
Cosa devo fare/installare?

Sostituisci nel file /etc/X11/xorg.conf la voce
con
così dovrebbe andare...

Purtroppo non basta, ho fatto quella modifica e riavviato ma non cambia nulla, ecco il mio xorg.conf:

prova a fare un backup dell xorg.conf e lancia (da root e con X spento) xorgconfig...

Ho provato, ma xorgconfig mi chiede tante di quelle cose che non riesco a configurarlo in maniera che poi riparta kde. Ora ho ripristinato lo xorrg.conf originale.
Attendo che qualcuno mi dia consigli...

non mi sembra che richieda niente di così allucinante... io la prima volta che l'ho usato ho fatto così, l'ho lanciato una volta, ho preso nota di quello che voleva sapere e ho chiuso senza fargli salvare l'xorg.conf, poi ho cercato le info necessarie e poi l'ho rilanciato la seconda volta creando il file di conf...
Se hai dubbi puoi sempre chiedere...

Risolto (almeno in parte):
senza lanciare xorgconfig, ho modificato la frequenza orizzontale e quella verticale settando quella corretta del mio monitor. Ora in KDE vedo tutte le risoluzioni disponibili. Non mi resta che abilitare un po' di 'features' per far girare Call Of Duty (1) con wine...

in genere, specie con le schede intel, basta lanciare X -configure (sempre con X spento) e ti ritrovi in /root/xorg.conf.new un file di configurazione quasi sicuramente funzionante.
