Driver Ati Radeon igp 340m ???????
Ciao a tutti in primis complimenti per questo grande forum, che ho trovato dopo varie ricerche sull argomento linux,in secundis volevo chiedere ho installato questa bellissima distribuzione in un portatile non di ultima generazione ma che comunque funge "Compaq Presario 1115", la mia domanda è avendo una scheda video "Radeon igp 340m", come posso fare ad installare i driver per il 3d? o comunque per farla funzionare?, cè qualcuno che mi può illuminare sull argomento, o almeno consigliarmi dove poter raccogliere materiale, ho provato su google ma non ho trovato niente di particolare......

di amd/ati.

ti consiglio di provare prima il driver incluso in Xorg (radeon)IGP
The Radeon IGP chipsets do not have discrete video ram. They share system ram much like the Intel i8xx chips, and VIA/S3 ProSavage/Twister chips. There is support for 2D and 3D acceleration for the IGP chipsets in DRI and Mesa CVS. There is experimental 3D for Xpress 200M Northbridge integrated GPUs (june 2007).

Avevo anch'io un compaq Presario, modello in pratica uguale al tuo.
Ho abilitato il supporto a radeon nel kernel ed ho usato il driver open di xorg (come ti consigliava lucif3r0).
Così facendo il supporto 3d viene correttamente abilitato.. ma ovviamente non aspettarti tutte queste performance
