ma qualcuno sa indicarmi quali sono i pacchetti non compresi nel mega-tar di ponce ? Io ho installato tutto quello che comprendeva , e poi ho usato lo script di meska ma i nomi delle librerie sono abbastanza anonimi ...

ho istallato il tar di ponce ma kde4 non partiva. Mi sono accorto dallo stderr (l'ho lanciato da console) che mancava la libreria libiconv. L'ho presa da slacky, istallata.... KDE4.1 is runnig...

Magari manca questo pacchetto anche a beato_angelico256.

attenzione se siete su current perche' oggi e' stato aggiornato poppler e facendo l'update rischiate di sovrascrivere la versione ricompilata sulle qt4 (che e' nel .tar)

- non sto usando l'utente root
- sono sulla slack 12.1
- ho installato il megapacchettone di ponce piu' questi pacchetti:

Libiconv(slacky)
Avahi(slacky)
Pcsc-lite(slacky)
RAW1394(slacky)
Clucene(slacky)
Hyperestraier(slacky)
Icu(slacky)
Liboil(slacky)
Captury(mytux)
Libifp(mytux)
Libnl(mytux)
Opensync(mytux)

Ho potuto constatare:

1. tutto abbastanza lento
2. non cambia le decorazioni della finestra
3. non si sente l'audio
4. se parte l'autoplay (es con una chiavetta usb) non funziona, mentre da dolphin la apre
5. non funzionano gli effetti sbriluccicosi (animazioni/trasparenze)
6. mi si e' appena impallato konqueror aprendo slacky!!!!!
7. occupa meno risorse in termini di CPU ma e' piu' avido di RAM rispetto a kde3.5.9
8. non mi si vedono gli screensaver
9. quando termino la sessione mi rimangono solo due dita di sfondo nella parte superiore del desktop

Probabilmente gli screensaver e l'audio non funzionano perche' non ho i permessi non essendo root
Gli altri problemi probabilmente sono dovuti alla mancanza di qualche pacchetto e a qualche conflitto
con i binari dell'altro kde.
Rispetto alle vecchie releases e' mooooolto migliorata ma ancora non ci siamo mannaggia...

agli squallidi drivers nvidia kde4 viene rallentato
di brutto,una soluzione provvisoria è questa

$nvidia-settings -a InitialPixmapPlacement=2 -a GlyphCache=1

3)Questo può dipendere da 1000 motivi

Vi rammento che meno persone usano kde4,più lenta
sarà la sua crescita,io rispetto alla 4.0 ho notato miglioramenti
allucinanti sopratutto in termini di stabilità,e se non fosse

- le decorazioni finestra non le cambia nel senso: nelle impostazioni cambio la decorazione ma premendo su applica non succede niente
- $nvidia-settings -a InitialPixmapPlacement=2 -a GlyphCache=1: gia' fatto e la situazione non e' cambiata (ho una nvidia 8600m gt)

Una domanda a ponce, ma per aggiornare kde4 va bene scaricare il pacchetto .tar e da terminale nelle 2 directory, dipendenze e kde fare un installpkg *
c'è rischio che installo 2 volte tutti i pacchetti?
