Xorg legge /etc/X11/xorg.conf
/root/../xorg.conf.new che corrisponde a /xorg.config.new non capisco da dove sia spuntato... non è che è sempre in /etc/X11? Se sì, è semplicemente la configurazione di base che installa Slackware, solo che dopo un aggiornamento, per evitare di sovrascrivere i precedenti settaggi, aggiunge un suffisso ".new"

Lo xorg.conf.new è il file di configurazione di prova, che crea sotto /root il tool Xorg -configure (ma anche X -configure e Xorg setup, mi sembra...).
Per testarlo, bisogna lanciare un

Codice: Seleziona tutto

Xorg -config /root/xorg.conf.new.

Generalmente, però, è incompleto, specialmente per quanto riguarda la sezione Screen.

Rifallo =) Avvia X, anche se ti crasha, riavvia il computer se non puoi uscirne dopodichè, incolla qui il contenuto di /var/log/Xorg.0.log

Comunque, nel file di log, l'errore che mi da e': Fatal server error: Cannot run in framebuffer mode. Please specify busIDs for all framebuffer devices.

Evidentemente copiando l'xorg.conf l'ho anche tagliato! Scusate!Ho copiato xorg.conf.new e salvato cme xorg.conf e dopo startx finalmente è partito a bomba!

Però, come mai vedo 3 puntatori e non uno solo?

non riesco perché non ho il programma per screenshot e molti programmi nel menù di fluxbox non partono tranne Firefox!

Beh, ora piallo e reinstallo tutto ma installazione FULL, poi selezionerò fluxbox!

Ho la slack anche sul fisso ed era full e va da Dio, il portatile non funzia proprio!
