[RISOLTO] Epson AcuLaser C1100

Salve ragazzi, ho un problema con questa splendida stampante collegata in USB...In pratica dopo aver installato i driver della stessa, faccio partire il CUPS ma da web dopo aver aggiunto la stampante provo a stampare la pagina di prova e mi da il seguente errore:

EpsonAC1100 "/usr/lib/cups/filter/foomatic-rip failed"

Ho provati inolte a modificare il file /etc/foomatic/filter.conf decommentando la riga:

ps_accounting: 0
gspath: gs

ma niente da fare ho sempre il solito errore....Il dmesg mi mappa la stampante sulla usblp0

usblp0: USB Bidirectional printer dev 4 if 0 alt 0 proto 2 vid 0x04B8 pid 0x0007

io proverei a fare come dice questo suggerimento, gli errori di cups sono spesso un po' oscuri e più elementi hai meglio è.

nel log spicca il seguente messaggio:

/bin/bash: pstoalc1100.sh: command not found

sembra che ti manchi questo script (pstoalc1100.sh) oppure non è nel path. Prova a vedere nei driver della stampante se lo trovi.

sta in /usr/local/bin/ ma non capisco dove si cambia il path ho controllato anche in filter.conf e in cups.conf
Non capisco in che percorso lo cerca!

Ho riprovato dopo aver creato il link in /usr/bin l'errore non me lo da più solo che la stampa non parte...Nel file di LOG ottengo questo

Se vado in mostra operazioni mi esce sull'operazione della stampa "COMPLETATO"

Niente da fare ragzzi secondo voi che può essere? Il file di log non presenta errori, la stampa viene lanciata ma la stampante non parte! Ho una slackware 13
comunque quando faccio partire il cups mi esce questo nei processi attivi:

Ciao, io ho avuto il tuo stesso problema, (viewtopic.php?f=1&t=29783&p=256581&hilit=cups#p256581) che non ho mai risolto, ora ho su slack 13 (current dei primi di febbraio) una cx11 che in patica è una 1100 con in più lo scanner. Alla prima installazione avevo lo stesso problema dell' altra volta poi ho decommentato la riga:
ps_accounting: 1
in /etc/foomatic/filter
ed ho linkato
alcx11
alcx11_lprwrapper
pstoalcx11
da /usr/local/bin a /usr/bin
tutto questo a patto che tu abbia scaricato il driver da:
http://avasys.jp/eng/linux_driver/
e che poi scopri quali eseguibili devi linkare. Spero ti possa essere stato d'aiuto. Ciao

Ciao sunreal grazie per la risposta xò se può interessare a qualcuno ho risolto questo anonimo problema installando la versione 1.4.2 di cups la slack 13 monta la 1.3.11...Per il resto i conf sono gli stessi e il foomatic avevo gia decommentato la riga psccounting...I link li avevo gia fatti ma niente non mi stampava....Installando il nuovo cupsd e aggiungendo la nuova stampante ho fatto la pagina di prova ed è partita la stampa...Quindi se qualcun'altro dovesse avere il mio stesso problema aggiornate subito il cupsd
Grazie comunque a tutti ragazzi siete stati davveri utili...

p.s.: Ci tengo a precisare che l'installazione della stampante tramite CUPS è stata fatta tramite il file .ppd scaricato dal sito di linuxprinters
