Ok, si presenta ora il problema anche a me
<BR>Ho felicemente acquistato un Ipod, se lo collego con la fireware lo riconosce come /dev/sda e lo monto senza problemi, con l´usb diventa /dev/uba, solo che mentre con l´hd esterno montavo anche con uba, con l´ipod non mi si copre e tra l´altro, la fireware mi riporta che ho attaccato un ipod, l´usb mi da solo un mass-storage... MAH

A me funziona la pendrive FAT16 con

Ciao ragazzi, sono nuovo di qui! (sono sicuro che mi troverò bene). Comunque volevo dirvi che a me la pendrive funziona benissimo montata sul dispositivo uba!
<BR>In /etc/fstab ho aggiunto:
<BR>/dev/uba /mnt/pendrive vfat noauto,users,iocharset=iso8859-15 0 0.
<BR>iocharset è necessario anche con il kernel 2.6.10 (quello che al momento è installato nel mio sistema), altrimenti mi "troncava" tutti i nomi. Ciao ciao, alla prossima.

Il fatto strano è solo uno, molti device funzionano, altri invece no il mio hd esterno va da paura su /dev/uba1 filesystem ntfs (ha 3 anni chiedo perdono ma ero ancora inesperto :-] ), l´ipod su /dev/uba3 (per via della sua configurazione interna) filesystem hfsplus non va manco a sparargli con una carabina, ora mi sorge un dubbio... che il filesystem sia indice di buona riuscita o meno del mount? Suona come una caxxata, ma non so piu che pensare <br>

Beh twister, secondo me il filesystem comporta alcune caratteristiche più o meno buone. Può darsi che il Fat abbia bisogno di opzioni in più per funzionare in modo corretto mentre altri hanno le funzioni già "preinstallate" (anche se il termine non è corretto). Io ho provato anche con auto, ma niente da fare. Se inserivo la stringa iocharset=iso8859-15 mi dava errore come output e credo che questo sia normale. Quindi ho sostituito al posto di auto vfat ed è andato tutto liscio. Mah...
