Errore con LILO e dualboot

Ciao sono nuovo di Slackware mi mandate il vostro lilo.conf... l'ho modificato ed ora non mi dà più l'immagine come prima..inoltre vorrei boottare anche dalla partizione di windows senza dover entrare nel bios ogni volta

Scusa, posta il tuo lilo.conf, poi hai fatto pasticci con gli HD? Se sì posta il tuo fdisk -l O almeno dicci la tavola delle partizioni

Non avevo letto accuratamente
Mi associo a conraid, cosa c'è su /dev/sda..

Comunque la tabella delle partizioni nella sezione windows sarà eventualmente hdb, non hdb1

se con lilo hai problemi, puoi anche cambiare bootloader e installarti grub, lo trovi nella sezione /extra del dvd, una volta installato il pacchetto, con il comando grubconfig lo configuri, poi ti basta editare il file /boot/grub/menu.lst e mettendo il caso che la tua partizione di windows sia in hdb1, aggiungi questa sezione per il boot:

Secondo me il problema è che hai modificato il dispositivo di boot da /dev/hda a /dev/sda, quindi se non è una cosa voluta prova a rimettere a posto la direttiva boot con hda, come era prima, aggiorna lilo (# lilo -v) e potrebbe tornare tutto a posto.

Conosco lawais.. gli ho installato io slackware, in /dev/sda1 ha slackware mentre su /dev/hdb1 ha Win... L'altro giorno a casa sua non riuscivo ad editarle lilo.conf... Ho aggiunto le classiche righe ma non partiva Win.. mi scriveva Loading Windows e si fermava.. Potrebbe dipendere da i jump de gli hd? (Se avvio slackware con tutti e 2 gli hd win viene rilevato su /dev/sdb1)

quel lilo.conf allora è sbagliato. Per ovviare al fatto che ti trova un nome diverso ogni volta (ma sono esterni? se no perché togli un hd?) usa l'UUID anche in lilo.conf
