Salve, premetto che sono alle prime armi con linux, vorrei chiedervi ancora aiuto per una delle mie distro preferite: Slax. Ho tolto dalla naftalina un vecchio Toshiba Satellite (celeron 800MHz con 128 Mb di memoria Ram) sul quale vorrei installare la mia adorata Slax. Solo che purtroppo ho grossi problemi con la scheda video, una trident cyberblade i1 agp 2x che mi ha dato problemi anche con win2000, finchè non sono riuscito a trovare i suoi driver. Ho tentato di modificare Xorg ma senza risultati, lo schermo rimane nero e si blocca tutto. La cosa strana è che con Wolvix non ho problemi. Wolvix va alla grande ma preferirei usare la Slax, qualcuno può darmi qualche suggerimento? Grazie.

Regole del forum

La non osservanza delle regole porta a provvedimenti di vari tipo da parte dello staff, in particolare la non osservanza della regola 5 porta alla cancellazione del post e alla segnalazione dell'utente. In caso di recidività l'utente rischia il ban temporaneo.

L'xorg.conf di Wolvix è identico a quella della Slax con l'unica eccezione per HorizSync 31.5 - 150.0 e per VertRefresh 75-85. In Wolvix ho HorizSync 31.5 - 50.0
VertRefresh 40-90. Ho provato a modificare l'xorg.conf di Slax con questi parametri ma niente..schermo nero.
