Regole del forum

[RISOLTO] lentezza boot e schede PCI

Ciao ragazzi. Ho un problema con Arch Linux che però è molto generale, quindi penso possa chiedere a voi.
Il kernel in uso è il 2.6.35 e il problema è che il boot è lentissimo e in particolare l'errore sembra essere generato da qualche conflitto di ACPI come si può vedere da dmesg:

Una volta avviato però si riscontra anche una lentezza generale delle varie schede PCI. Più che altro il controller USB e la scheda Ethernet.

Ho trovato anche altri post su internet con problemi molto simili ma molti attribuiscono il problema a bug nel kernel e non danno soluzione.
Inoltre speravo ci fosse qualcosa che non coinvolgesse cambiare il kernel con un altra versione.

creo che hai problemi con le ACPI.

Hai provato l'opzione irqpoll al boot?
Il problema di fondo è comunque un problema di IRQ con la scheda ethernet.
Riportaci anche il contenuto /proc/interrupts così vediamo meglio il conflitto.
Generalmente si procede spostando le schede in altri slot,ma credo che la scheda di rete sia integrata.
Prova a controllare se ci sono update del bios per la tua scheda madre e verifica se, sempre dal bios,puoi giocare su qualche impostazione.

Se poi proprio non risolvi,forse è un bug dei driver e l'unica opzione è aggiornare il kernel.

L'opzione "irqpoll" insieme a "noapic" ha risolto tutto. Ora il boot è veloce, e le schede hanno ripreso a funzionare a dovere.
Grazie mille, anche se forse bastava che mi leggessi un po' meglio il log.
Avevo fretta lo ammetto.
