phpMyAdmin package

Postate qui se avete consigli per migliorare i pacchetti disponibili in questo sito o se avete problemi con installazione, funzionamento o altro.

phpMyAdmin package

Hello,
Can someone provide a slackware package for phpMyAdmin ?
You can find a Debian or Ubuntu package, so I guess it is not so hard to be made.

Here we have phpMyAdmin for Slackware 11.0 but it is 2.9.0

The last one is 2.9.1

And as you can see... It says:
"SlackBuild Included: NO"

Which means I can not see the SlackBuild and make one myself :(

Slackware is used so often for a web server... And phpMyAdmin is so needed. I really have no idea why it is not included in Slackware by default...

Any ideas?

mmm...
Have you tried to decompress the file in ./htdocs of your apache?
I've never installed it...
I usually decompress the file, downloaded from http://www.phpmyadmin.net/home_page/downloads.php, in /var/www/htdocs!!!

Yes, that's the way, but... Anyway I prefer .tgz's :roll:

I may say a stupid thing, but how can a .tgz know where is your web-root, when you can change it from /etc/apache/httpd.conf?
PhpMyAdmin is just a compressed file: you have to decompress it in your web-root directory and configure it.

Well, I have no idea... But it works as a .deb package in Debian/Ubuntu

I personally have installed it in Ubuntu 6.06

It even asks about a MySQL password during the install...

Anyway... Last question:

Anyone tried the package from LinuxPackages?
