Sorgenti Kernel
Ho Slack10.1 con kernel sata.i 2.4.29.
Ho una scheda audio integrata Realtek AC'97 Nvidia nForce CK804, per problemi di incompatibilità non è mai funzionato il microfono in Linux, per il resto l'audio è normale.
Ho saputo che sono usciti dei nuovi driver nForce per Linux, che teoricamente dovrebbero correggere almeno in parte il problema, quando ho tentato di installarli però ho scoperto l'assenza dei sorgenti del kernel, elemento necessario alla creazione dei moduli.
Qual è la maniera più rapida per mettere su i sorgenti del kernel?
Dove vanno messi che non mi ricordo?

Allora, prima ancora di leggere mi sono ricordato dove guardare: là ho trovato tutto in ordine, link simbolico compreso.
Ma allora che è sta rottura dei sorgenti? Mica sono già là?
Ossia se c'è la directory /usr/src/linux, che ovviamente punta a quello che è, ci sono anche i sorgenti o sbaglio?
Oppure c'è il kernel e basta e i sorgenti vanno installati a parte grazie al pacchetto?

No è normale. Ad alcune persone i driver Nforce si compilano normalemente anche con un installazione base (Default).
In altre persone come nel mio caso, non si compilano bo.
Bisogna prima ricompilare ed installre un kernel nuovo ad esempio io uso il 2.6.11 che è quello che da meno problemi almeno nel mio caso.
