Ho una penna di acquisizione video con lo stesso chip empia della tua.
In passato con un kernel da me ricompilato non sono riuscito a farla andare, non ho mai capito cosa sbagliavo (anche perché non avevo voglia di perderci tempo).
Con il precompilato 2.6.17.13 di Pat (Slackware 11.0) invece funziona a meraviglia. Ti consiglio di provare con questo kernel.
Ho udev installato nella mia macchina ma non ci ho mai messo mano.
Semplicemente ho seguito la guida che hai postato.
