I am a Quality Engineer working on the Flash Player and I wanted to inform you that I am looking into this issue you submitted to us about the plugin crashing when you change to fullscreen mode. In Flash 10 we made some changes to how fullscreen operates, and because of that it requires that all sub-libraries are linked correctly with the browser. If you installed your FireFox 3 without using the Synaptic Package Manager, it’s possible the sub-libraries weren’t linked correctly. Testing this website on my machine reproduced the crash when FF3 wasn’t installed using the package manager. However when I installed using the package manager, the site no longer crashes in fullscreen mode. Can you please verify that FF3 was installed using Synaptic Package Manager, and if you still get the crash please let me know.

Comunque, a quanto dice questo messaggio, quelli di Adobe hanno effettivamente riprodotto il crash solo quando FF3 viene installato direttamente dal file scaricato da Mozilla; quando, invece, l'installazione viene fatta attraverso Synaptic, vengono creati dei link simbolici alle necessarie librerie.
L'idea che mi è venuta consiste allora nello scaricare il pacchetto DEB di FF3 per Ubuntu ed esaminarlo per verificare quali cavolo di link simbolici vengono creati; se ci riesco, poi vi faccio sapere.
