To short the things here, here is my request: can somebody please post a package for Audacity for Slackware 11.0. I tried to build the program from source, but I run into problems.

what kind of errors did u get when trying to compile?
What version of Audacity are you trying to install?
Are u using a SlackBuild? if so, post it here maybe someone can give you some help to make ti work.
Have you tryed starting with the Audacity 1.2.4b SlackBuild?
./configure && make

In config.log the error is:
/usr/include/bits/local_lim.h:36:26: /linux/limits.h: No such file or directory
I posted the same topic on linuxquestions.org, and the reply there was that apparently the error comes from the GCC version and it could be.
I have Slackware 11 installed with kernel 2.6 running on kernel-headers-2.4 with gcc-3.4.6.
