Aiuto per demone vsftpd

Se avete problemi con l'installazione e la configurazione di Slackware postate qui. Non usate questo forum per argomenti generali... per quelli usate Gnu/Linux in genere.

Regole del forum
1) Citare sempre la versione di Slackware usata, la versione del Kernel e magari anche la versione della libreria coinvolta. Questi dati aiutano le persone che possono rispondere.
2) Per evitare confusione prego inserire in questo forum solo topic che riguardano appunto Slackware, se l'argomento è generale usate il forum Gnu/Linux in genere.
3) Leggere attentamente le risposte ricevute.
4) Scrivere i messaggi con il colore di default, evitare altri colori.
5) Scrivere in Italiano o in Inglese, se possibile grammaticalmente corretto, evitate stili di scrittura poco chiari, quindi nessuna abbreviazione tipo telegramma o scrittura stile SMS o CHAT.
6) Appena registrati è consigliato presentarsi nel forum dedicato.

La non osservanza delle regole porta a provvedimenti di vari tipo da parte dello staff, in particolare la non osservanza della regola 5 porta alla cancellazione del post e alla segnalazione dell'utente. In caso di recidività l'utente rischia il ban temporaneo.

Aiuto per demone vsftpd

Ciao a tutti volevo porvi un quesito inerente il demone vsftpd, ho configurato correttamente il tutto nel senso che riesco a connettermi tramite client ftp etc, solo che vorrei lanciare il suddetto demone in fase di boot,senza dover ogni volta lancarlo da linea di comando, ho provato ad inserirlo sia in inet2 che in rc.local, sotto forma di linea di comando "/usr/sbin/vsftpd", solo che mi capita quando parte il sistema arrivato dopo "ldconfig", mi si blocca il caricamento e non va piu oltre, infatti sono costretto a lanciare una distro live per poter rimuovere il suddetto comando,come potrei risolvere???.

Ciao ...
Per far partire correttamente l' ftp devi modificare il file
/etc/inetd.conf trova le righe ...

decommenta quella giusta ... e riavvia il super-server daemon inetd con

Controlla la configurazione però le impostazioni di /etc/vsftpd.conf ... !!!

Grazie per la risposta, ho provato solo che adesso mi da questo problema "500 OOPS: could not bind listening IPv4 socket", aiutooooo.

Volevo dire che controllando meglio forse ho capito il problema cioè, ho abilitato vsftpd come standalone e poi l ho anche abilitato in inetd.conf, infatti commentando la riga listen=YES nel vsftpd.conf, adesso parte correttamente all avvio , pero mi chiedevo cè differenza nel modo di far partire il demone nei due modi , si perde in sicurezza , qual è il metodo migliore???, grazie

Il modo migliore é ... quello che funziona !!!
A parte gli scherzi ... per un server da usare in di una rete interna con inetd non hai grossi problemi ... in standalone dovrebbe essere più performate.
Credo che in rc.local bastasse mettere un & per far girare il daemon in background ...

Ragazzi volevo chiedere, sono riuscito a far partire il demone vsftpd da rc.local, solo che adesso ho un altro problema e cioè quando provo ad uplodare dei file all interno della directory public_html, incomincia il processo solo che dopo alcuni secondo si ferma e mi da "Transfer failed", il mio vsftpd.conf è questo :
