Masterizzatore DVD e Cdrom invisibili!![risolto]

Ciao a tutti.Ho installato la slackware con kde 3.5.il kernel 2.6.18.
Funzionano parecchie cose, ad eccezione del masterizzatore dvd e del cdrom.
Premetto che ho due hd sata e il masterizzatore/cdrom sono visti dal bios come primary master/slave.
se lancio un cdrecord -scanbus ottengo il seguente output:

dmesg | grep hda
e vediamo ...

Aggiungo ancora una cosa, dato che in fstab vi e' il collegamento a /dev/cdrom, sono andato a vedere sotto la directory /dev/ ma la voce cdrom non esiste!!!

Devi sistemare il tuo file /etc/fstab, così che i dispositivi vengano correttamente riconosciuti dal sistema, sono scsi o ata? durante la fase di boot di slackware,se fai attenzione puoi leggere come il sistema vede i dispositivi, ad es: /dev/hda < nome masterizzatore>,/dev/hdb <nomelettoredvd> ,a quel punto ti basta solo sistemare fstab, se sono come nell'esempio riportato puoi scrivere:

/dev/hda /mnt/cdrom iso9660 defaults,rw,user,noauto 0 0
/dev/hdb /mnt/dvd iso9660 defaults,ro,user,noauto 0 0

Logicamente in /mnt se non presenti crei le dir cdrom e dvd per il montaggio dei dispositivi, dopo aver salvato le modifiche al file, vedrai che i dispositivi cominceranno a funzionare senza problemi.

Devi commentare i dispositivi rimovibili, da /etc/fstab!!

Togli l'emulazione scsi, con i kenel della serie 2.6 non serve e poi ripeti il comando
dmesg | grep hda
Se vuoi vedere come cdrecord riconosce i dispositivi ATAPI il comando comunque è
cdrecord dev=ATAPI -scanbus.
Dopo avere tolto l'emulazione scsi controlla che /dev/cdrom sia un symlink a /dev/hda(b)

Sinceramente, a me nessun dispositivo è commentato in /etc/fstab però l'automount e tutti i dispositivi funzionano benissimo, quindi penso che non sia strettamente necessario

Premetto che i dvd/cdrom sono ide e non scsi.
Allora ho tolto l'emulazione scsi dal kernel 2.6.
Ma a mio parere non e' cambiato nulla.
ho aggiunto in fstab i record come mi avete consigliato.

A mio parere il problema e' che sotto la dir /dev/ mancano i collegamenti hda,hdb, ecc...
trovo un sg0 sg1 potrebbero essere questi i cdrom???

Se non riesci a capire a quali files linkare i tuoi dispositivi è logico che non funzioneranno mai, dai quel comando che ti ha detto urka58, così vedi dove collegare i dispositivi, poi aggiungili al tuo fstab, modificando la voce /dev/cdrom e subito sotto ci metti il dvd e salvi.

Dall'output del tuo dmesg si direbbe che non hai disattivato l'emulazione scsi.

Ok avevo dimenticato di togliere il record da lilo.conf.Ora dovrei aver disabilitato l'emulazione scsi.

Prova a dare da root lo stesso comando
cdrecord dev=ATAPI -scanbus
e
ls -l /devhd* (qui non serve essere root).
Ora che hai tolto l'emulazione scsi cosa risponde
dmesg | grep "hda\|hdb\|hdc\|hdd"
Vediamo un po'..
